lately, there’s been so much complaining over this and that, power struggles, backstabbing, and just otherwise sour grapes and self pity.
I can’t stand that.
If you’ve worked for something, then good for you. If someone else worked harder, then you be professional and acknowledge that they deserve that.
I don’t see the need to rant and rage- particularly to bring up what ifs, could have beens, and should have beens. The reason for that is simple enough: none of them are. None of them are “to be.” None of them are in the here and now. What is the point? If you were truly dedicated and willing to work, you would accept the role you were given and work extremely hard into fulfilling that role given to you. Honestly. And if you decided that playing yourself wasn’t good enough- then you don’t deserve anything. You cannot get by in life on lies and masks. You definitely cannot get by without having some modicum of respect for other people. This is what I am talking about. If you were yourself and you worked hard, you will be delegated what you deserve. If you were someone else, then you wouldn’t be worthy of having received anything at all. There is no point in criticizing the past and bringing up alternatives that will not come to pass.
This is the reality and the mindset needed to look forward.
On a side note, it is also the most professional one.
